Retained Search
A retained search, our firm is paid a retainer (up-front fee) by the client to perform a specific search. The fee for this type of search is for the time and expertise of the search firm. Typical fee percentage of total base compensation with 1/3 paid at initiation of search 1/3 paid at the introduction of first slate of candidates and the final 1/3 at the completion of the search (hiring date of successful candidate). These are more appropriate for senior level and very hard to fill roles.
